Eligibility
- Open for Indian nationals only
- Students must be pursuing the first year of MBBS programme from government colleges
- Applicants must have obtained at least 65% marks in Class 12 board examinations
- Annual family income of the applicants should be below INR 6,00,000 (6 lakh) from all sources
- Children of employees of GSK, GiveIndia and Buddy4Study are not eligible
Benefits:
Up to INR 1,00,000 per year for students pursuing MBBS, with a total of up to INR 4.5 lakh over four and a half years.
Note: Scholarship funds can be utilized only for academic expense purposes which includes tuition fees, exam fees, books, hostel fees, food, and seminars. If funds still remain, it will be used for stationery, online learning, and payment of internet/data pack bills.

About the Programme
GSK Scholars Programme is a CSR initiative of the GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (India) focused towards providing financial assistance to meritorious and financially constrained students enabling them to pursue a career in Medicine. This programme aims to support the skill-building initiative of the country and advance STEM education in India.
Under this scholarship, students pursuing the first year of MBBS from government colleges will be provided financial assistance up to INR 1,00,000 per year to cover academic expenses incurred towards their MBBS programme.

Aim of GSK scholarship 2024-2023
The prime aim of the program is the promotion of STEM fields in India. Science, Technological, Engineering, and Mathematics streams are considered not only difficult in terms of study but are also highly competitive. To ensure that candidates take up their dreams in this field and not get deviated due to financial instability, GSK Scholars Programme is launched. The candidates who are currently pursuing MBBS from Government College and are meritorious will get supported. This program is a skill-building initiative of the Organisation under the Corporate Social Responsibility Project.
Benefits of the GSK Scholars MBBS Programme
The Candidates who will get selected for this programme will get an amount upto Rs. 1 Lakhs annually to cover the educational expenses pertaining to their MBBS. The amount will be deposited at the beginning of every session and the students can utilise it accordingly depending upon the academic costings. The program will cover all the academic years. This implies, the amount will be awarded to the candidates for 4.5 years and an amount up to Rs. 4.5 Lakhs can be availed. The funds will be transferred directly into the bank accounts of the candidates through a safe online transfer window.
The candidates can only use the amount to pay scholastic expenses such as fees, books, seminars, research programs, accommodation, and more. Only if the funds remain unutilized, they can be used for online learning and stationary related costs.

The selection of the candidates for the program will be purely on the basis of the financial requirements and merit. The authorities will consider the online applications and check on the basis of the provided information if the candidate is eligible. The shortlisted applications will then be called for a Telephonic Interview. The candidates who will clear the stage will finally be selected. Before disbursement of the amount into the bank accounts of these students, the authorities will verify the original copy of the documents attested with the application. The finally selected candidates will be informed and funded for their academic expenditures in MBBS programs.
